For ten remarkable years, the East London School of Classical Music has been transforming lives through the power of classical music.
What began as a vision to make classical music accessible to all has blossomed into a thriving community where students from every walk of life—from curious beginners to accomplished musicians—come together to discover, learn, and create.
Our journey has been marked by countless moments of joy: the sparkle in a child’s eyes hearing their first symphony, the pride of adult learners mastering challenging pieces, and the collective triumph of our community performances that have graced venues across East London
As an independent music charity, ELSCM has remained steadfast in our commitment to breaking down barriers in classical music education. We’ve welcomed thousands of students regardless of age, background, or financial circumstances, proving that classical music truly belongs to everyone..
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re more inspired than ever about the future. The ELSCM family continues to grow, and there’s never been a better time to join us.
Join the ELSCM family today and help us write the next inspiring chapter of our musical journey together.
The ELSCM Charity Programme is dedicated to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to pursue their musical journey, regardless of financial circumstances. Through this initiative, ELSCM provides support to students who require assistance in accessing essential resources such as musical instruments and examination opportunities. The programme is designed to remove financial barriers that may prevent talented and passionate students from progressing in their learning. This includes support for instrument acquisition or rental, as well as funding assistance for graded music examinations, which are crucial milestones in a student’s development.
We approach every application with the utmost discretion and compassion. Our goal is to say ‘yes’ to talent, regardless of financial standing.
Students seeking financial assistance through the ELSCM Charity Programme can apply by completing a dedicated bursary application form. This form is designed to gather essential information about the student’s needs, including the type of support required—such as instruments or examination fees—as well as relevant background details.
Applicants are encouraged to provide clear and accurate information to help ensure a fair and efficient review process. Once submitted, each application will be carefully assessed, and eligible students will be contacted with the next steps.
The East London School of Classical Music wishes to express its gratitude to Nucleo for the numerous musical instrument donations through their national instrument bank received since December 2024.
